Its been a busy week in the shop.

A little while ago ,
Lee and I went up to Stoke on Trent,to pick up a little Kawasaki KZ 400.
The idea was to put a little "winter hack" together out of something cheap and easy.
This bike had just been imported from somewhere warm and rust free,so it was nabbed and brought back to Sunny Maldon in the back of my infamous "Racing Peugeot".

We cruised through Ebay a little while later and found a rigid roller for nearly nothing.
So once again ,we fired up the Racing Peugeot and one trip to Swindon later .
We got started.

Out came the motor and we dumped the upside down forks and plopped the original ones in.

This week , we've made a rear fender out of a front fender, sorted the original pipes into something a bit more lovely. Frisco'd a Lowbrow peanut tank, mounted the headlamp and speedo.
Come up with a neat idea for the electrics box (an old petrol can).

We raked the frame, cos the whole thing was starting to look like it had been in a front end smash.

Got the approval of Ernie, our yard dog!

And pushed it up against the lathe until next week.

This is Lee! its his bike .
He's been helping out a lot and is great to have around the place.
You wouldn't believe what a responsible job he has in real life.

This is Krystal, from Lucky Geoff's local.

Let me know if you want one,so I can order another .
